At Moments Costa Rica, we photograph families and couples during their trip to this wonderful country we call our home. Our sessions are meant to be the easy part of your trip. We'll help you choose where to go, what time works best, and take care of the photography part so you can enjoy being present.
What kind of photoshoot can you book?
We photograph families, couples, maternity sessions, proposals and plenty of people who simply want good photographs from their vacation. One of our favorites is photographing families who have traveled to Costa Rica together. Sometimes that means parents and their children, and sometimes we have grandparents, cousins and the whole crew. Getting everyone together isn't always easy. When it finally happens, it's worth photographing.
Where should we take photos?
Usually, we start with where you're staying. You don't need to spend half your vacation driving somewhere else just because you've seen a particular beach on Instagram. There are beautiful places to photograph all along the Guanacaste coastline, and we are here to help you find it!
If you're staying in Peninsula Papagayo, for example, we can work around the beaches and tropical scenery in the area. Around Las Catalinas, we have the colorful town as well as the beach. Playa Conchal, Flamingo, Tamarindo and Hacienda Pinilla each give us something a little different like a perfect beachfront sunset and more colonial setting.

What is a family photoshoot with Moments like?
Relaxed.
We'll get the photograph where everyone is looking at the camera because we know you're going to want that one. But after that, we want you to spend time together. Let the kids move. Pick them up. Walk down the beach. Get your feet wet. We'll guide you when you need us, but we don't want every photograph to feel like you were told exactly where to put your hands. Some of our favorite images are usually the ones that have more spontaneity.
Couples photos in Costa Rica
You also don't need a proposal or anniversary to book a couples session. We photograph plenty of couples who are simply traveling together and want photographs that aren't another selfie from the trip. If you are celebrating something, even better.
For surprise proposals, we'll help you plan the photography beforehand so you know where to be and when to be there. After the proposal, we can continue with photos together while you enjoy that very exciting "we just got engaged in Costa Rica" feeling.
When should you book your photoshoot?
Once you know your travel dates and where you're staying, you can reach out. We are a team of photographers and we are *almost* always available to shoot!
We'll help you choose the session time based on the location and the light. This matters especially for beach photography in Costa Rica, where the same beach can look completely different depending on the time of day. Costa Rican weather also likes to keep us on our toes during rainy season. We keep an eye on it and work with the conditions as your session gets closer.
You don't need to become an expert on Costa Rican sunsets before booking your photographer. That's our part.
